About the Combined/English Psychometric Test
The Psychometric Entrance Test (PET) is an entrance exam used by all Institutions of Higher Education in Israel. The Psychometric is one of two tools (the other being matriculation grades) that serve the universities and the colleges in ranking candidates’ academic performance, and thus deciding which of the candidates should be admitted to studies. The Psychometric has a major advantage over the Bagrut (matriculation) grading system: the Psychometric is hardly influenced by the candidates’ differences in background, or by their previous academic performance during high school.
The Combined/English Psychometric test is actually the English version of the general Hebrew Psychometric test. In the Combined/English Psychometric, the Hebrew pages are translated into English, and test takers can decide which language they prefer.
