Israeli GMAT scores are dropping

Over the past four years Israelis taking the GMAT test for acceptance into business school have seen their average scores drop, while the worldwide trend is upwards.
While Israeli score averages dropped from 519 points in 2002-2003 to 496 in 2005-2206, the average for all test takers from all countries rose for the same period from 529 to 533 points on average.
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is the standard test used by business schools around the world as a requirement for acceptance to MBA programs. The test is computerized and conducted only in English.
Until very recently, most Israeli business schools only required applicants to take the quantitative section of the GMAT and not the verbal part.
Now with Israeli students taking the entire test, scores are expected to rise, said Rafi Badani, chief executive of a school that prepares students for the GMAT.
